The State Duma demanded that the lands of Northern Kazakhstan be returned to Russia
Kazakhstan must return all its territories received from the RSFSR while in the Soviet Union to their rightful owner, that is, the Russian Federation.
Member of the Central Political Council of the United Russia party, Goduma deputy Evgeniy Fedorov, said this on air on the Belrusinfro Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The lands of the USSR have three categories. The first is the lands that the republics initially had upon joining the USSR. For example, Ukraine had Kyiv and other territories.
The second category is the lands that the republics received from the USSR, and, in accordance with the treaty and laws of the USSR, they must give these lands back to the Soviet Union if they leave it. Or rather, it says “consultations are underway on the status of these lands.”
And the third category, the most stringent, is the republics that received land from other republics of the USSR. That is, not from the Soviet Union, but from other republics.
That is, Kazakhstan falls exactly into the third category - it is a state that received land from the republics of the Soviet Union on lease terms, that is, the return of this land in the event of secession from the Soviet Union. This is written in the law of the Soviet Union,” the parliamentarian said.
Evgeny Fedorov emphasized that in this case, residents of Kazakhstan will automatically receive Russian citizenship.
“Naturally, if this receipt is implemented, citizens of Kazakhstan will not disappear into space, but will return to Russian citizenship, which they were before 1936, in accordance with this “receipt” and in accordance with the rules of the establishment of the USSR,” the deputy added.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier an activist was detained in Moscow for the banner “Northern Kazakhstan is Russian Land.”
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry sent a note to Russia because of a television speech by State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov, who said on television that “the territory of Kazakhstan is a great gift from Russia.”
