The State Duma proposed severing diplomatic relations with Poland and summoned the ambassador

“I think we should have an appeal by the end of the day, which should stipulate today that we sever diplomatic relations with Poland, recall our ambassador, drive away the Polish one, and close all trade with Poland.
600 thousand Soviet soldiers died before they reached Berlin. My father fought as part of the Second Belorussian Front. We preserve all Polish burials, including those in Katyn. Yes, we act from the position: the strong one gives his hand first. But for the sake of the memory of our fathers and grandfathers, we must react sharply and uncompromisingly,” Kharitonov said.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin assured the deputy that an appeal was being prepared, moreover, from several parliaments at once.
“We are preparing such a resolution. We proceed from the fact that it would be correct to unite the parliaments of other countries. Before the beginning of next week, we will complete negotiations with our colleagues, and we will try to outline in this address everything you are talking about. Irina Anatolyevna Yarovaya invited the ambassador. He must come to the committee meeting, but he is not in Russia now,” Volodin said.
