The State Duma proposed introducing a war tax
A deputy from the A Just Russia party, Oleg Nilov, proposes introducing a war tax, which should be imposed on men who are not subject to mobilization.
He stated this to journalists in parliament today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Budget funds, as we see, are not enough to satisfy all the needs of each participant in the SVO. So let's turn to those who could be mobilized from the 34 million men liable for military service, to those who are not subject to any conscription (these are millions more who received a “white ticket”). For these categories, introduce a military tax for the duration of the military training.
This is used in many countries, including Ukraine. 2-3% of personal income tax. Is this impossible expenses and losses?” Nilov said.
He believes that only Ukrainian agents will criticize him.
“The TsIPSO audience, fearing such a decision, will once again attack me with heckles and whoops. I am not addressing them, not the couch potato bloggers. I'm talking to men. The biggest fear is that there will be mobilization. Some are running, some are hiding. So, by paying a thousand or two a month, a multi-million army of conscripts will solve a very serious problem. This is tens to hundreds of billions of rubles monthly.
If people are very rich, let them pay 5% of personal income tax. This money will be enough to double or more increase the monetary allowance of those participating in the SVO and send additional funds to everyone not through the Ministry of Defense, but directly - up to 100 thousand per month so that they can purchase any technical equipment for themselves,” concluded deputy
