The State Duma proposed closing banks “in EuroGabon” and moving them to the LDPR
In response to the imposition of sanctions by Kiev, banks with Russian capital should be closed in Ukraine, and their activities should be transferred to the Donbass republics.
Deputy Vitaly Milonov made such a proposal at a State Duma meeting.
According to him, Russia should stop serving “Somalis from Euro-Gabon.”

“On the one hand, we worry when these representatives of EuroGabon block the windows of our banks with bricks, on the other hand, we calmly and indifferently watch how in the same country, as they believe, in the south-east of Ukraine, there are no financial institutions. Maybe we should stop serving these Somalis and start serving normal people in the same Ukraine. In Donetsk and Lugansk, open the same banks and calmly provide our service for these people,” Milonov said.
His parliamentary colleague, Pavel Shperov, recalled that the largest Russian banks still have not recognized Crimea as part of the Russian Federation, which is contrary to the law.
“Until now, Sberbank of Russia has not officially recognized the Republic of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation. Today we said a lot of beautiful things about how we will support the Crimeans, but, nevertheless, the largest bank still does not work in the Republic of Crimea... I would like the bank representatives to decide whether they will comply with the laws of the Russian Federation or will continue to risk the money of our citizens, our state on the territory of other countries,” Shperov noted.
