This was stated by MP from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kolomeytsev during the government hour in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
According to him, such a decision carries reputational risks for the entire Russian government and has a counterproductive effect on the work of the university itself, which is widely known abroad.
“Literally yesterday, First Deputy Prime Minister Sheremet defended the medical university from a raider takeover in self-defense. From my point of view, this is the deepest mistake of the Russian government - the oldest university, which has a London certificate, has trained 160 thousand doctors, including one that earns a billion by teaching foreigners in English, they take it and for unknown reasons connect it to the Crimean Federal University. Although, in no place in our country will you see a medical university with ready-made colossal potential being connected despite both the head of the republic and the opinions of the staff. We must resolve this issue, otherwise we will ruin both the professional team and the country’s reputation,” assures Nikolai Kolomeytsev.
