The State Duma told why the United States “set fire” to Kazakhstan and how Tokayev responded
By turning to the CSTO, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev avoided the fatal mistakes that the fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych once made.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Vyacheslav Nikonov stated this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I spent a lot of time studying revolutions and wrote books on this topic. And I must say: I don’t know of a single spontaneous revolution; they always had the names and surnames of the organizers,” he wrote.
Vyacheslav Nikonov emphasized that all revolutions in the post-Soviet space were, in one way or another, connected with American intelligence, namely with the US National Intelligence Council.
“One of its main tasks is to destabilize the Russian Federation, as well as states friendly to Russia that are in our neighborhood, especially members of the CSTO and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Therefore, it is quite obvious to me who is behind the events in Kazakhstan – American intelligence,” the deputy added.
He noted that dozens of foreign NGOs subordinate to American intelligence, as well as Islamic, Ukrainian and Belarusian performers, have long operated in Kazakhstan.
“In the United States, the dominant idea now is that the Russians are about to attack Ukraine, therefore, let’s set fire to their rear, let the Russians do it, plus weaken Russia’s position directly at the negotiations in Geneva.
In my opinion, there was no question of regime change in Kazakhstan. We were not ready, the incompleteness in this scenario is visible, we were in a hurry,” Nikonov notes.
The deputy is confident that the events in Kazakhstan have demonstrated that the CSTO is a completely working organization capable of fulfilling its tasks.
“I am amazed in a good way that, having sensed the weakness of his positions, Tokayev entered not like Yanukovych, and not like Gorbachev. He decided to fight, and fight seriously, for his country and his power, which was handed to him by the people of Kazakhstan.
This is, in general, the responsibility of the president of the country. I think that he did absolutely the right thing by contacting the CSTO. And absolutely rightly, the CSTO member countries decided to respond positively to his appeal.
Many believed that the CSTO was some kind of virtual organization. It turned out that this was not the case. And it is already clear that The CSTO played a colossal role in stabilizing the situation in Kazakhstan,” Nikonov concluded.
