The State Duma thought about how to neutralize the negativity from the exchange of “Azovites”
Russia urgently needs to neutralize the negative effect of the exchange of captured fighters of the Azov battalion.
Communist deputy Sergei Obukhov stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now on Ukrainian channels they are showing how the Azov Nazis are greeted from captivity. Joy, triumph, rejoicing. Plus, Russian troops left Zmeiny Island of their own free will. Suggestion: it is important to urgently organize a solemn meeting of our captured fighters and publicly present to the world thousands of captured militants. It is necessary to neutralize the negativity associated with the exchange of those whom they promised not to exchange,” Obukhov said.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin agreed with the speaker, but suggested that deputies do such work in their districts.
“It is important for us not occasionally, but constantly to provide support to those who are fighting and those released from captivity, and to meet with the families of military personnel. Let's do this in our regions. There is no need to work for the cameras,” Volodin said.
He warned his colleagues against drawing attention to the actions of the Ukrainian authorities.
“As for the Azov people, the nationalists, who have blood on their hands, issues related to them are under control. I can tell you that they are exchanging very seriously wounded people. It is right to exchange them for our guys, to rescue them from captivity.
This work is being done, but we will not publish it. As for the Kyiv regime, they do this on purpose to emphasize their pseudo-victories. In fact, they suffer defeat after defeat. We don’t need to bring their actions to the parliamentary platform, thereby legalizing them,” Volodin said.
He called on the relevant committees to hold meetings with deputies and inform them about the progress of the SVO. According to his information, substantive investigative measures are underway for all members of the Azov group.
“They are finding out who is involved in what, who was doing what,” Volodin assured.
