In turn, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Dmitry Novikov, said that the US attempts to dictate to Russia which foreign statesmen it should contact are unjustified.
“If the United States believes that Libya has become its colony, then it can try to dictate its terms to Libyan politicians on how to behave,” Novikov said in a commentary to RIA Novosti.
According to the deputy chairman of the relevant committee, Libyan politicians, if they consider themselves independent, are able to independently decide on their choice of social circle.
“As for Russia, the attempt to dictate who should contact which government officials and who should not, does not look very justified,” Novikov added.
