A fresh systemic party may enter the State Duma
The new composition of the State Duma of the Russian Federation may include not four, as usual, but five or even 6 parties.
General Director of VTsIOM Valery Fedorov stated this at a press conference today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we take only active voters, then we see that the chances of the “New People” are increasing. The chances of the Pensioners’ Party, on the contrary, are slightly decreasing,” Fedorov said, noting that Yabloko’s chances are also decreasing.
He predicts that of all the non-parliamentary parties, only New People will be able to overcome the five percent barrier.
On the verge of passing – the Party of Pensioners. Yabloko definitely does not pass, but at the same time receives government funding, gaining 3%.
The founder of “new people” Alexey Nechaev believes that the reason for such success is the Russian society’s request for change.
“We are now in a state similar to the hot summer of 2019. The request for change must be satisfied in the country. The authorities have little to waste; they need to win back the trust of society. The New People party is in this trend. We are the first non-parliamentary party to enter the State Duma, and sympathy for us is growing,” Nechaev said.
At the same time, the positions of the four parliamentary parties are preserved. This was stated today in St. Petersburg by the General Director of the NP ANO Institute of Political Psychology, Inga Burikova. She believes that United Russia will gain up to 35%, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - up to 20%, LDPR - 10-12%, A Just Russia - 6%.
Even the editor-in-chief of the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy believes that United Russia could get 280 seats in the new parliament.
“There are such chances. But not by much. I believe that 280-310 is her corridor. But if it is 275, it’s a small mistake. We now see very well by district. 225 counties in total. They put it, in my opinion, at 215-217. They may lose in about 20 districts. Thus, in districts they will receive 195 and at least 100 according to the list,” Venediktov said today.
VTsIOM polls show that 47% of respondents will definitely take part in voting and 21% are more likely to come to polling stations. Experts predict a 54% turnout.
