Hundreds of Ukrainian sailors are stuck in Greek and Italian prisons

251 Ukrainian sailors were detained in Greece and Italy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Zayats.
“The situation with Ukrainian sailors has recently deteriorated significantly. The hottest spots are Greece and Italy. As of June of this year, 151 Ukrainian sailors are being held in Greece, 108 of them were convicted, 98 of them for transporting illegal migrants. In Italy, about 100 Ukrainian citizens were convicted of transporting illegal migrants,” said Zayats.
Earlier, PolitNavigator, with reference to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported that more than 10 Ukrainian citizens were detained abroad.
