Companions of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili claim that the deprivation of his Ukrainian citizenship was the result of agreements reached during President Poroshenko’s visit to Georgia, writes Kommersant.

The publication notes that according to one of the leaders of the United National Movement, close to Saakashvilia, Levan Bezhashvili, Petro Poroshenko last week in Georgia “secretly met with the de facto leader of Georgia, oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili.”
“It was during this meeting that the issue of depriving Saakashvili of Ukrainian citizenship was decided,” says Bezhashvili.
