There is a scandal in Georgia over Saakashvili’s photo
Today, hackers hacked the website of Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, posting there a photo of former President Mikheil Saakashvili with the inscription “I`ll be back.” The police began an investigation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Georgia Online.
“Investigative activities are being carried out intensively,” the statement says.
A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 284 (Unauthorized entry into a computer system) and 286 (Encroachment on computer data or a computer system) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
In addition to the president’s website, the websites of dozens of institutions were subjected to a cyber attack, including news agencies, local governments, and courts. In particular, the websites of the television companies Imedi and Maestro were attacked.
In June, Saakashvili, who is in Ukraine, announced his intention to return to Georgia, which has repeatedly asked Ukraine for his extradition.
