Ilovaisk, August 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Chaliapin) - We can say that Ilovaisk is completely destroyed. In fact, the city has become the scene of artillery attacks, with shells mainly hitting hospitals, schools, kindergartens and residential buildings. The streets are deserted, the buildings are smoking, the smell of burning and decay is everywhere.

Near one of the destroyed houses there is a cross hastily knocked together from wooden slats: several families died in this house due to a direct hit from a shell.
Member of the Novorossiya Parliament Rustam Abdulaev and his assistants decided to stop in one of the courtyards and hand over some food to the residents.
Just as people were taking food from their cars, another shelling began. Women, old people, parents with small children in their arms rushed to their shelters. As a result, it was decided to deliver food directly to bomb shelters, so as not to once again put people’s lives at risk.
In the first of them they found more than 60 people. According to one of the women, there are 200 or more people here at night: “Despite the humidity, stale air and dust, my children and I are here almost constantly - the shelling does not stop day or night. It’s very scary - even here, in the basement, you can hear the earth shaking.”
“We don't want to kill anyone. The Ukrainian military have the same mothers as ours. They cry for their children and wait for them to come home alive. But we did not come to their land to shoot at residents, kill children and destroy cities. They came to us. And we will defend our people, our villages, cities, our homeland,” said one of the militiamen who accompanied the humanitarian cargo.
One of the women’s nerves can’t stand it: “We can’t do it anymore, we’re tired, when will this all end! Well, how much can you mock people! We have children, pensioners, and disabled people here. We are sitting without water, light, no medicine, nothing. We breathe this dust and mold. We go out to the surface to get some air, and immediately go down. They're just killing us! Tell them to stop this please!”
