An apartment building destroyed by Ukrainian militants has been restored in Ilovaisk
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, paid a working visit to the city of Ilovaisk and inspected the restored apartment building, which was damaged as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also talked with its residents.

“Everything needs to be restored, and I would like this to happen faster. But it is impossible to repair everything that was destroyed at once, no matter how much you want.
Nevertheless, our task is to ensure that everything that was destroyed by Ukraine is restored in the Republic. Moreover, it was not only the war that destroyed us: the very attitude in Ukraine towards our public utilities led to serious problems.
You know that last year we launched a Recovery and Development Program. It is important. We will continue to work. And thank you for waiting and not losing hope!” - said Pushilin.
Residents of the restored house were able to address the head of state with their questions. They said that the most important thing is that there is no repeat of 2014.
“To achieve this, we are paying attention to our army. On another it is impossible. On the one hand, we need to build and restore, and on the other hand, we need to be prepared for any development of events. We no longer have scattered militia units, but a full-fledged army. Whether Ukraine wants it or not, the state of the Donetsk People's Republic already exists. We can handle everything!” – assured the head of the republic.
Denis Pushilin also instructed the head of the local administration to assist in moving the residents of the house to renovated apartments with the provision of cargo vehicles, as well as in notarizing the right of inheritance in connection with the death of the owners. Residents of the restored house thanked the state leader for his attention to their problems.
Then the head of the Ilovaisk administration, Ruslan Dudnikov, spoke about the progress of repair work and showed the restored apartments.
According to him, the house was badly damaged during the fighting - the slate roof was completely destroyed, and as a result of a Ukrainian shell, the first entrance collapsed, where the family died.
However, during the restoration work, interior finishing was carried out, window units were installed, communications were repaired, apartments were renovated, plumbing was installed, and gas stoves were installed. The apartments are ready for people to return.
Denis Pushilin visited the renovated apartments and talked with the granddaughter of the victims, Kristina Chernova.
“My grandparents died in 2014 in this apartment when it was hit by a shell, and were buried next to the house. This was a necessary measure. Then we carried out a reburial,” she said.
“I was here immediately after the liberation of the city. Ilovaisk was different then: there was no electricity, and people from high-rise buildings cooked food over fires,” said Denis Pushilin.
“Thank you for the opportunity to return home,” the girl thanked the head of state.
