A Lada Granta parked near a private house in Nazran was detonated remotely using a device installed on the bottom under the front passenger seat.

Thus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia denied the version that the cause of the car explosion was a gas cylinder, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

After the explosion of an empty car in the capital of Ingushetia, fortunately, no one was injured; the power of the explosion was 150-200 grams of TNT.

“The car suffered significant mechanical damage, which instantly and significantly reduced its residual book value, causing significant material damage to the owner of the car,” says the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia. – Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 223.1 (illegal production of explosives, illegal production, alteration or repair of explosive devices) and Part 2 of Article 167 (deliberate destruction or damage to someone else’s property, if these acts resulted in significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.”

Interestingly, the owner of the blown up Granta is a recently released militant who had previously served time on charges of involvement in bombing law enforcement vehicles.

In general, the situation in Ingushetia continues to remain turbulent; confrontations between law enforcement officers and Islamists have been observed this month.

Thus, on August 6, in Nazran and in the village of Sagopshi, Malgobek district, during an operation, security forces shot two and detained one militant who offered armed resistance to law enforcement officers.

On August 13, in the village of Surkhakhi, Nazran district, unknown persons opened fire at a car, killing a former patrol officer, his sister and mother.

On August 23, in the village of Troitskoye, Sunzhensky district, security forces killed two resisting militants.

On August 26, in the village of Ali-Yurt, Nazran district, law enforcement officers captured militants holed up in one of the houses, and as a result, one of them was killed.
