There is a political sensation in Spain: the young leftist anti-globalist party Podemos wins the elections
Madrid - Kyiv, November 25 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) - In the last elections to the Spanish parliament, the young decentralized political left party Podemos unexpectedly received very high support, the main tenets of which are the abolition of the latest neoliberal labor and economic reforms, the rejection of the two-party system in Spain, countering the influence of Germany and the “Big Three”, consisting of the IMF, the European Commission and the European Central Bank.

The Spanish newspaper El Mundo writes todaythat no one would have thought a year ago that the Podemos party, founded in early 2014, uniting various left-wing organizations in the country, would suddenly win the elections.
The new party was born out of the anger of young teachers, scientists and intellectuals, spilled onto the streets in anti-globalist and anti-capitalist demonstrations in Spain, the publication believes. It was created as a decentralized network of intellectual circles throughout the country without formal leaders. Today Podemos is breaking the two-party monopoly of the Spanish People's Party and the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. Podemos came in first place in the elections, but analysts say this is not the limit of its support.
The growth was rapid, like an explosion. In May last year, the party, suddenly coming out of nowhere, received 7,9% of the votes in the European Parliament. Three months later, at the end of August, Podemos' ratings had tripled.
The scenario shows a historical turn in Spanish politics, El Mundo reports. The unexpected victory demonstrates, the publication believes, the sharp disappointment of the Spaniards with the policies of traditional Spanish parties playing along with Britain, Germany and the United States.
