The Ivano-Frankivsk police received a message from city residents that there was a five-year-old neighbor boy in their house who did not want to return home, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The reason for this behavior of the child became clear to the juvenile prevention workers when they arrived at the specified address and tried to communicate with the boy’s relatives. It turned out that the young child was hungry and needed medical help, but the mother did not care. In addition, the 30-year-old woman did not allow the police into the premises and generally refused to communicate with them. Therefore, the police took the baby to the hospital,” the report says.
Subsequently, law enforcement officers found out that the apartment, where three other children aged 10, 9 and 3 live, was in terrible disarray and unsanitary conditions.
“This was also shown by specialists from the center for social services for families, children and youth. However, the woman believes that her children have the necessary conditions for living and normal development - yesterday she even complained to the leadership of the regional police department about the illegal, in her opinion, actions of the police who seized her son. It is natural that law enforcement officers did not leave the other children in the unbearable conditions in which they had to live. Today they were taken to the center for socio-psychological rehabilitation for children. Their mother was brought to administrative responsibility for failure to fulfill her duties in raising children. By the way, this is the second time within a year,” the police said.
