As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the terrible discovery was made by a cleaning lady at a medical facility. When she was throwing out the garbage, she saw that one of the bags lying in the trash bin was of a strange shape; when she unwrapped it, she found a newborn child wrapped in the bag.
The baby turned out to be a boy one or two days old. Law enforcement officers are checking whether he was stillborn or killed, and are also looking for his mother.
She could face up to five years in prison if she is found to have killed the child.
