Near the monument to those executed under the Jewish synagogue, where the Germans shot 27 Ukrainian nationalists, a memorial service was held with the participation of the clergy, representatives of regional and city authorities, public and political organizations, students and concerned city residents.
Participants in the event recalled that on November 14, 1943, during Yaroslav Barnich’s operetta “Sharika” at the Ukrainian Theater.
