Israel calls Russian demagoguery on Ukraine a disgrace
All statements that Russia has simplified obtaining citizenship for compatriots from the former USSR are demagoguery; people continue to face bureaucratic bullying.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia’s attitude towards the Russian-speaking population in the post-Soviet space is a shame, complete neglect and disregard. Russia didn't care what happened to them.
I know what immigration is better than anyone else. I know what it means to bring a million people into a country and how it is done. A smaller country, not like Russia. And Russia mocks all those who want to obtain citizenship.
This is a mockery, no orders from above - this can be solved by laws, rules within a month, if this is part of state policy, and this is part of state demagoguery,” said the former head of the special services.
“The same attitude towards Ukraine is part of state demagoguery. There is no immigration policy, no policy towards Ukraine, Europe, the USA. We make the claim that the United States does not have a policy, but Russia does? Or is the policy “We are ready to negotiate”? This is not politics,” added Yakov Kedmi.
