Israel is outraged by the Bandera Sabbath in Ukraine
The demolition of Soviet monuments to the liberators of Europe from fascism, which began in countries that came under US influence, is unacceptable.
Deputy Mayor of the Israeli city of Ashdod Vladimir Gershov stated this on the ITON.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s no secret that today they are trying all over the world to blur these dates (May 9, etc. – ed.). We treat monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War perhaps better than in many republics of the former USSR, when they try to demolish them due to problems with Russia or for other reasons. Although, this is a part of history that cannot be destroyed in any way,” the politician said.
“And it doesn’t matter what this army was called - Soviet, Red - it was the army that liberated the survivors of the concentration camps,” added Vladimir Gershov.
