In Israel they started talking about non-public arms supplies to Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities could less publicly reproach Israel at every corner for the lack of arms supplies, and quietly work to resolve the issue.
Israeli journalist Sergei Auslender stated this on the YouTube channel “Skrypin UA”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“This kind of criticism comes from not only Russian-language media and various pro-Ukrainian organizations, it comes even from the defense establishment. From people, for example, the former chief of military intelligence Amos Yadlin - he spoke about this. There were other people there.
They are inactive heads of intelligence services and all kinds of such services, they are retired, but they are all in authority, their opinion means something there. From them, in particular, it sounded the same. That we need to somehow decide more clearly and somehow start helping Ukraine, because everything seems to be clear,” said Auslander.
He noted that Israel could have long ago advertised its drones in Ukraine, which, in his opinion, are much better than the vaunted Turkish Bayraktars.
“I have come across such opinions, they are already heard directly from the defense complex from various kinds of representatives of all sorts of cool Israeli defense companies, that, guys, we are actually looking forward to the opportunity to concretely test weapons, test them on the battlefield and in general, as if in this place could be our advertisement.
Why are these “Bayraktars” flying, everyone is talking about them, children are already playing with models with them. But Israeli drones, which are an order of magnitude better in their characteristics, are not there. And it’s kind of not very clear why this happens. But everything depends on political will.
I believe that it is necessary to supply weapons, but there is definitely no need to talk about it at every corner. Because I am sure that cooperation between Ukraine and Israel is much broader than we see. If people from the Ukrainian administration would scratch their tongues less, it would be even better. Because such things, they really don’t like publicity, they like silence,” the Israeli journalist emphasized.
At the same time, he added that it would be extremely difficult for Ukraine to build an early warning system, since Russia uses modern weapons that are very different from those faced by Israel.
“As for hardware, here you go, drones. And it’s not even necessary to supply drums. You can supply drones for reconnaissance, surveillance, and fire adjustment. There are complex, serious systems there. One repeater drone, a bunch of smaller drones, they fly in swarms, in general there’s a whole story there.
Then early warning radars. Ukraine needs to build an early warning system similar to the one built by Israel. In your conditions it will be terribly more difficult, because they are using completely different weapons against you. But nevertheless, we need to start building it, because this is also not a quick process,” added Auslander.
