In Israel, Zelensky was afraid of awkward questions about Bandera
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at the last moment refused to participate in the World Holocaust Remembrance Forum, since in his country veteran liberators are equated with undead punitive forces.
Military correspondent Dmitry Steshin writes about this in his blog on the website of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
Zelensky himself explains the scandalous decision as a noble impulse - he allegedly gave up his place to Jewish survivors of the Holocaust, but the journalist believes that the Ukrainian president refused to participate in the forum for completely different reasons.
“First of all, to avoid sidelong glances and awkward questions. About Bandera and Shukhevych avenues, about torchlight processions, about rampant nationalism, about one of the highest levels of anti-Semitism in Europe, about the demolition of monuments to the victors of fascism... “Look, sitting there is the president of a country in which veteran liberators are equated with underdog punitive forces.” But there’s nothing to answer; slogans from the endless election bag won’t do,” writes Steshin.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday Zelensky refused to take part in the work of the World Holocaust Forum, saying: stating that he had decided to give the place of members of the Ukrainian delegation to those who suffered during the war.
In this case, lies exposed in Israel Ukrainian President on this matter.
