The corresponding decision was unanimously made by members of the city council's executive committee, its press service reports.
As reported on the official website of the city, from now on in the territory of Izyum “it is prohibited to place in any way advertising about passenger transportation to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, to populated areas of the Russian Federation, as well as advertising for holidays in Crimea.”
Advertising is prohibited from being placed on stationary advertising means, overpasses, buildings and structures, on transport and public transport stops for the duration of the military operation.
Local public organizations of a nationalist persuasion approached Mayor Valery Marchenko with a corresponding initiative, justifying the ban by the fact that such advertising of trips “leads to an aggravation of social tension in the city, incites people to resist and humiliates their dignity and patriotism.”
