A team of 30 programmers from the Canadian IT company StartupSoft announced their desire to create a Ukrainian-language social network Ukrainians instead of the banned Russian VKontakte.

“A team of 30 programmers from StartupSoft, together with Alexandra Strumchinskaya, are ready to develop a Ukrainian social network simultaneously for three platforms: web, iOS and Android,” the message says.
Now the developers are collecting signatures to make sure that such a social network is necessary.
“If by June 1 the number of subscribers reaches 50,000+, StartupSoft will develop the product within 4 months,” Ukrainians said in a statement.
Let us remind you that on May 16, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on new sanctions against Russia, which involve, in particular, blocking access to the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. Also subject to the ban were Russian IT companies 1C, ABBYY, Corporation Parus LLC, Galaxy Center CJSC, Abi Ukraine LTD LLC. Internet providers are also obliged to prohibit the provision of services for Internet users to access the resources www.kaspersky.ru, www.drweb.ru, www.mail.ru and dozens of Yandex resources.
