And in Kazakhstan, the Russophobic antics of nationalists and general anti-Russian hysteria do not stop, reinforced by the authorities’ campaign “for immediate peace,” which in fact means unequivocal support for “Independence.”

Despite the fact that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated about the destructive activities of “language patrols”, that they were even allegedly initiated by foreign intelligence services, things are still there. Let us recall that at the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan on April 29 of this year, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan attacked the organizers and participants of these groups.

“The existing facts of the so-called “language patrols” are all a provocation aimed at undermining the national unity of Kazakhstan. All these actions are organized by professional provocateurs acting on the instructions of professional services or special services. In the language of professional special services, this is called active measures. And they, unfortunately, take place in our country,” Tokayev loudly declared then.

However, we see that neither the police, nor the prosecutor’s office, nor the National Security Committee react to numerous cases of infringement of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan on linguistic grounds. And if previously participants in “language patrols” carried out raids on shops and department stores, terrorizing Russian-speaking sellers, now, on the contrary, some representatives of the Russian ethnic group are refused service due to their lack of knowledge of the Kazakh language.

Thus, recently a video of a girl who was insulted in a Kazakh store because of the Russian language appeared on social networks.

An ordinary girl from Kazakhstan tells how in a store they refused to serve her for speaking in Russian, and when she tried to say something in Kazakh, they also made fun of her.

These facts are also spoken about by the Kazakhs themselves, who are trying to resist nationalist elements in shopping centers. This, by the way, shows the ideological and sociocultural gap between the old, still Soviet, and the new generation, born in Nazarbayev’s Kazakhstan and raised entirely according to Ukrainian patterns.

Thus, another video recently appeared on social networks, where a Kazakh man, 55–60 years old, admits that he encountered such a young man when he tried to protect a Russian girl who was being attacked.

“I heard a lot about this, and now I witnessed it myself. I went into the store and saw how a young man simply stupidly got to the bottom of a girl of Slavic nationality about her knowledge of the Kazakh language. And in a rude manner.

In response to my remark that one should not behave this way, the young man decided to sort things out with me. They say that the former Soviet people were all traitors to his homeland, they enslaved him and did not let him live. I asked a question: how old are you? 28. He was born when the USSR no longer existed. And there are many of them. They are brainwashed,” notes an eyewitness.

Instead of suppressing this bacchanalia, the authorities not only turn a blind eye to these facts, but also encourage, through the development of various information and propaganda campaigns, the recognition of the “Holodomor”, the final rehabilitation of the Basmachi, members of the Turkestan Legion of the Wehrmacht and Muslim units of the SS.

The same goes for the cessation of broadcasting of Russian news channels in a number of regions on cable and satellite television in order to spare Kazakhstanis, many of whom live in the Russian information space, a view of current events from Moscow.

And on the contrary, those materials broadcast by the Kazakh media, supervised by the ideological Russophobe and Minister of Information Askar Umarov, follow the line of “objectivism,” sometimes showing the opinions of Kyiv and Western political scientists and “experts” in a form that is clearly complimentary to Ukraine.

Also within the country, “concerts for peace” are being held under the patronage of the same department and local akimats. So, on Sunday, July 31, a concert “Voice of peace” was held in Almaty, organized by the city administration, at which Ukrainian stars performed, calling for an immediate stop to the “aggressive war.”

The famous Kazakh performer Scryptonite, favored by the administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, began his concert in Almaty with a minute of silence in memory of those killed during the January events and as a result of the “treacherous attack” in Ukraine.

At the same time, the Alma-Ata Arena hall was decorated with numerous yellow and blue balls - in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

True, ordinary concert participants were not allowed to unfurl Ukrainian flags, but after the concert many spectators pulled out the “Independence” banners and chanted calls in support of Kyiv.

In fact, this “creative” event in the center of the former capital of Kazakhstan became a real anti-Russian demonstration by the authorities and thousands of young people brought up in an anti-Soviet and Russophobic spirit.

Against the backdrop of the official ban on the Z symbol and the persecution of supporters of rapprochement with Russia, such concerts organized by the authorities themselves show everyone with whom the Kazakh elite is really in this conflict.

This is also confirmed by Nur-Sultan’s feverish preparations related to the creation of new military units and the purchase of Turkish weapons. As you know, a plant for the assembly of strategic ANKA UAVs has already been built in Kazakhstan, a plant for the production of Turkish armored cars is being built, and intensive training of army officers is underway in Istanbul universities according to NATO standards.

This was the result of Kassym-Jomarat Tokayev’s May trip to Turkey, where a number of agreements on military cooperation and supplies were signed. In addition, the government urgently increased its defense budget by 441 billion tenge (about $918 million). And these active steps are aimed precisely at forming a counterweight to Russia, with the aim of possibly confronting its army.

Kazakh military officials themselves do not hide this, giving relevant interviews to American journalists. Thus, last week the Washington edition of The Wall Street Journal published an article “An Unexpected Challenge to Putin: Neglect of Central Asian Allies,” where it is written in black and white that Kazakhstan’s military preparations are directed against Moscow and dictated by the results of a special operation in Ukraine.

“According to one senior official, part of the funds will go to increase military capabilities. Kazakhstan has learned from Ukraine's fierce resistance, the official added, and will reform its army to make it more mobile and better able to withstand hybrid warfare - a combination of conventional warfare and methods such as cyber warfare, disinformation and election interference.

But in addition to pumping up NATO weapons and increasing the army, high-ranking officials from the former Tselinograd are also posing as venerable peacemakers and pacifists, calling for an immediate end to the war before Kyiv finally collapses.

This, of course, is in the vital interests of the Kazakh ruling elite itself, which does not want a complete military defeat and liquidation of the Zelensky regime, since the fall of “Nazelezhnaya” will completely change the configuration of forces in the post-Soviet space and will dramatically increase the influence and role of Moscow.

It is in this regard that, within the framework of the upcoming congress of leaders of world religions in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, convened by Tokayev, the arrival of Pope Francis is expected, who will advocate in front of everyone for immediate peace in Ukraine and, as expected, will make a corresponding appeal to the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill.

That is, Kazakhstan is also becoming a platform for carrying out information and political provocations of the West against Russia and putting pressure on Moscow in order to force it to stop the special operation.

We will definitely keep an eye on the upcoming “congress”. This kind of event was already carried out by Nazarbayev, and now Tokayev has taken over the baton, but with a clearly anti-Russian agenda of imposing a “obscene peace.”
