Famous monuments were damaged in Kerch and Sevastopol
In the hero cities of Crimea, unknown persons damaged monuments.
In Sevastopol, the pedestal of the monument to Nakhimov was damaged, and in Kerch, the memorial at the Eternal Flame was damaged, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Unknown persons cut down the anchor chain from the pedestal of the monument to Admiral Nakhimov. The shortage was discovered this morning and was immediately reported to the police. The monument is installed in the central city square, where there are people almost around the clock and many CCTV cameras are installed. Investigators are interviewing possible eyewitnesses and studying video camera footage.
In the Glory Square of Kerch, several letters have disappeared from the Eternal Flame. According to Kerch.FM, the letters “F” and “O” are missing. In addition, on the stele with the names of the heroes, several letters in the surnames also disappeared. The square and monuments were put in order in April of this year. Then, during the restoration work, some of the letters were removed, and the reason for their disappearance could have been poor quality repairs.
