“According to preliminary data, 8 people were taken to the emergency hospital. Six received medical assistance on the spot,” said Alexander Galatsan, director of the health department of the Kharkov regional state administration.
The public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kharkov region clarified that two policemen were among those injured in the collision.
The department said: the police localized the conflict between the march participants and people with St. George ribbons. “Almost at the end of the procession, aggressive supporters of the federalization of the country tried to attack its participants, using bats, sticks, and other objects. A fight broke out between participants in two rallies. Thanks to the timely intervention of police officers, the conflict was localized,” the department believes.
At the same time, another version is being voiced on social networks:
“In essence, it was “wall to wall.” Not my words - this is what one of the injured anti-Maidan participants said. The ultras finished the procession. The flags were folded. Someone shouted: “There are Colorados,” and the fans rushed to the next street. Anti-Maidan was waiting. They really stood like a wall. Bricks flew at them. After that, people with St. George ribbons rushed in all directions. The ultras crashed at least two cars. At least four anti-Maidan participants were injured - mostly their heads were broken. It seems that there are some injured from the police.”
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, today in Kharkov fans of Metalist and Dnepr held a march for a united Ukraine. At the end of the action, there was a clash with pro-Russian activists. Supporters of federalization fear an attack on the tent city set up on the square. Freedom.
