Last night, in Kharkov, citizens blocked a police Toyota Prius, driven by a man intoxicated. As it turned out later, he turned out to be the newly appointed chief of police of Kharkov - 26-year-old Evgeniy Melnik, nominated for the post by American Ambassador Pyatt and Minister Arsen Avakov as an exemplary professional and reformer of the law enforcement system.

He was unable to travel far - caring people blocked his car and further movement was impossible. A little later, high officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Internal Affairs Directorate arrived at the scene. Activists claim that the Ministry of Internal Affairs wants to resolve this issue “quietly.”
