In Kharkov, a position at customs was sold for $17 thousand
The head of the personnel department of one of the border detachments of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine and a former high-ranking official of the State Border Service of Ukraine were detained in Kharkov for extortion and obtaining unlawful benefits in the amount of $17 thousand, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The operation was carried out by prosecutors of the military prosecutor's office of the Kharkov garrison together with employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkov region and the Department of Internal and Internal Security “Vostok” of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
It was established that these persons, acting deliberately, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, demanded and received the specified funds from a soldier of one of the border detachments for taking actions in his interests regarding appointment to one of the leading positions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Now priority investigative (search) actions are being carried out, searches are continuing.
