This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region.
Information about the explosion and fire was received by the police at 17:25. Paramedics and firefighters arrived at the scene. The flames covered at least 200 square meters: the wooden canopy was completely burned.
Those who were inside the establishment heard several explosions. Eyewitnesses suggest that these were gas cylinders. First one, later, when the visitors were evacuated, the second one rushed. Employees of the investigative and operational group worked at the scene of the incident. According to one version, the fire occurred precisely for a technical reason - after the explosion of the first gas cylinder.
In turn, Igor Lupandin, assistant to the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkov region, said that three women, visitors to the cafe, were injured. They were taken to the hospital. According to preliminary information, the eldest of the victims is 56 years old.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously in Kharkov unknown persons tried to blow up a store, an electrical substation, the fence of a military unit, etc.
