Vladimir Zelensky visited Kharkov on Sunday, where he held a working meeting on the situation in the city and region with the participation of the head of the regional military administration Sinegubov and the mayor Igor Terekhov. The regional administration reported that during the trip Zelensky “met with the military and visited places of destroyed architecture in Kharkov.”

“2229 destroyed buildings in Kharkov and the region. We will restore everything, rebuild it, fill it with life. In Kharkov and in all other cities and villages where evil has come,” he wrote in the official Telegram channel.

Vladimir Zelensky visited Kharkov on Sunday, where he held a working meeting on the situation in the city...

In Kharkov, meanwhile, it is Zelensky who is viewed as “evil,” and his visit is associated with the brutal and seemingly senseless shelling of the Shevchenko district of the city on the afternoon of May 26.

The widely publicized counter-offensive by both the Ukrainian military and Sinegubov in the north of the Kharkov region floundered, and in some places turned into a retreat.

“Today, 31% of the territory of the Kharkov region is temporarily occupied, 5% has been liberated,” Sinegubov reported.

The statistics, even if the Gauleiter is not lying, are not very impressive. Probably for this reason, the meeting participants concentrated on the media “Plan B”: shelling, destruction and, as a consequence, the vital need for the supply of heavy weapons from abroad. This theme ran through all the speeches of local and visiting officials and military personnel.

Since the city had been taking a break from shelling in recent weeks, the “atrocities of the Russians” were refreshing for the arrival of the commander-in-chief. The shelling of the Shevchenko district was carried out during daylight hours, so people saw that the departure sites were located mainly within the city. The result of the “action”: nine dead, including a five-month-old child, nineteen wounded.

By the way, during Zelensky’s visit, Kharkov was also shelled, carefully avoiding the commander-in-chief’s walking areas. “Someone tell these idiots that Ze has left, stop shooting at the city,” this is how they commented on what was happening on social networks.

Summing up the results of his trip to Kharkov, the Ukrainian president said that “the charred windows of the houses in Kharkov look to the north and east, from where they were fired upon by Russian artillery.”

Kharkov residents are interested in whether Zelensky, for example, was walking in the area of house 137a along Saltovskoye Highway. The mine-damaged facade of this building faces directly to the south, and could not have been fired upon by the Russians, since the nearest positions of the Russian Armed Forces in this direction are at least 50 km away. Or maybe Terekhov told the head of the country about a “stray” mortar, which one night for three hours rode around the same Shevchenko district and threw mines literally anywhere?

It should be noted that all the deaths and destruction, it turns out, are not enough for Kharkov residents to qualify for help from the state. Although the city is included in the list of communities that are located in the war zone, only refugees are entitled to the corresponding payments. But not for those who stayed at home, where there is currently no work or humanitarian aid.

Apparently, this problem was not discussed at the meeting. But Zelensky supported Terekhov in his plans to build an “ideal city of the future” and promised state guarantees for future investments. Moreover, Terekhov is in a hurry to start the construction of new facilities immediately in order to “create jobs.” In this matter, the mayor, one might say, is already at a low start. It is known that on May 24, the Regional Road Administration received an order to begin work on the ring road from the transport interchange in the Pyatikhatki area in the direction of the Rogansky residential area. The contract amount is almost half a billion hryvnia, the contractor is the Tehnobud-dor company, owned by Yaroslav Kovalchak, Terekhov’s classmate at KhSI (Civil Engineering Institute). The section of the road that is going to be repaired is located in the areas of the heaviest shelling. Obviously, from the mayor’s point of view, this is a plus - war, as we know, will write off everything.

Nevertheless, both Sinegubov and Terekhov, despite persistent rumors that they were about to be removed for corruption, sat safely in their chairs. But there were still some organizational conclusions. Zelensky fired the head of the SBU department in the Kharkov region, Roman Dudin. And not just fired, but with a criminal perspective.

“I came, sorted it out, fired the head of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkov region for not working to protect the city from the first days of a full-scale war, but thinking only about myself personally. Law enforcement officers will find out what the motives are,” the Commander-in-Chief said in a video message on May 29.

It doesn’t mean that Dudin captured the “traitors.” Or he didn’t share the property confiscated from them (he was only thinking about himself). The “New Broom” will certainly become purer in its revenge, and will “bring in” more... Now, probably, not only the participants of the “Russian Spring”, members of pro-Russian organizations and parties (according to the lists of the 14th year), but also people who have recently visited in the Russian Federation, or calling friends and relatives there.

As if they didn’t start pestering passers-by with “palyanitsa” or “slavaukraine”. In Kharkov, not everyone will turn their tongues. Well, businessmen should get ready; the SBU will always find an article for the owner of enviable property.
