The emergency occurred on Tuesday, March 10, in the morning, in a 16-story building at Saltovskoye Highway, 137a, law enforcement officers report.
“The child’s grandmother discovered the body and left him on the landing next to the elevator for several minutes. The leadership of the Kharkov city administration, the investigative and operational group of the Moscow regional department, and experts immediately went to the scene of the incident,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region.
According to local residents, they immediately called an ambulance and rescuers, and tried to pull the boy out on their own.
The fact of the incident was included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under the article “Official Negligence” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The details of the tragedy will be determined by the investigation.
