As the press secretary of the Kharkov region prosecutor Vita Dubovik reported, during an inspection of a car stopped by traffic police officers, prohibited items were found in it, including weapons. The traffic police called the police.
After the police arrived, it was found out that the Aidar battalion was in the car.
Officers of the military police and the military prosecutor's office were called to the scene and continued further procedural actions. According to the press secretary, on the morning of Monday, September 1, groups of Aidar fighters came to the military prosecutor’s office and the prosecutor’s office of the Ordzhonikidze district and filed claims against the regional police and the State Traffic Inspectorate.
The police officers who were at the checkpoint were called to the prosecutor's office.
“No complaints or statements have been written yet, negotiations are ongoing,” Dubovik noted.
In a message from the public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region, it is noted that on August 31 at 23:20 at the traffic police post "KhTZ" law enforcement officers stopped a Chevrolet car without state license plates.
“This fact became the main reason for checking the vehicle,” the message says.
At the same time, volunteers reported on social networks that special police officers seized a thermal imager worth $14, ammunition and some personal belongings, cigarettes and money from Aidar fighters.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Right Sector fighters were detained near Lvov for transporting weapons.
