“People in police uniforms and civilian clothes, without presenting any documents, broke into the office of the Borotba Association in the city of Kharkov, where they began an unauthorized search without the presence of witnesses, scattering the organization’s property and breaking open the doors to storage rooms,” the organization said in a statement. , published on its official website.
“Dubious people in civilian clothes carried out manipulative actions in the office. People from friendly organizations who approached the office at that time saw how MVS employees collected bottles from the approaching gazelle into a bag they had brought with them from the neighboring basement and the surrounding area near the trash cans and brought them into the office,” stated Borotba.
According to activists, thanks to their persistence, people in uniform returned property to the organization, which they had already begun to confiscate.
“The Borotba association sees a series of provocative incidents on the part of the current illegitimate government of Ukraine as a deliberate attempt to extinguish a fair popular protest against the policies of the junta,” the organization said in a statement.
The police offer a different version of events. According to law enforcement officers, about 20 bottles of Molotov cocktails were found near the office of one of the pro-Russian political parties while checking an anonymous call. This was the reason for inspecting the offices themselves, the public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kharkov region reported.
According to the department, during the inspection “samples of printed materials with propaganda content” were discovered.
