In Kharkov, the Nazis staged another pogrom
In Kharkov, the Nazis showed their mugs again. A group of unidentified representatives of militant Ukrainians entered the office of the public organization “Labor Kharkovshchyna” in the Palace of Labor, causing a pogrom there.
So far, not a single gang of nationalists has taken responsibility for this bestiality. Local media do not condemn the rioters.
As the head of the organization, former deputy of the regional council Pavel Tishchenko, said, his comrades in the movement informed him about the attack.
“At about 15.15:15 p.m., a group of XNUMX people broke down the doors, tore off the casing, and brought down everything that was there. Stands, posters, all kinds of slogans, flags... Not necessarily Soviet, wartime ones. They did not hide their faces. Two people from our organization saw them rise. “Glory to Ukraine” they shouted, says Tishchenko. “They broke down the door to our office, broke it down, destroyed everything, tore it up, doused it with something that smelled like white spirit, apparently they wanted to set it on fire, but something or someone stopped them.”
During the attack, no one was in the organization’s office, but the attackers were seen by people from neighboring offices, as well as two members of Labor Kharkovshchyna.
Police were at the scene. According to the communications department of the GUNP in the Kharkov region, on May 7 at about 16:35 a man called the police and said that a group of young people had broken into the premises and scattered things. An investigative team went to the address. Information about the incident is included in the Unified Record of Offenses.
So, less than a day and a half has passed since the desecration of the monument to Marshal Zhukov, when left-wing anti-fascists, who are the only ones in Kharkov who hold protests against tariff increases, NATO and Naziification, were subjected to a pogrom, celebrate May 1, February 23 and other dates that were accepted celebrate in Soviet times.
The organization has existed since the early 90s and has always demonstrated its respect for the Soviet era, its heroes and ideals. She was not directly subordinate to the local communists, but, for example, the same P. Tishchenko was a deputy from the Communist Party of Ukraine. Her activists participated in the “Russian Spring”. After the actual ban of the Communist Party and repressions against the head of the regional party committee, Alla Aleksandrovskaya, “Labor Kharkovshchina” is the only organization that is not afraid to go out into the streets to hold a protest. It repeatedly came to the attention of stormtroopers, who did not hesitate to mock the pensioners in it. The last time before the pogrom of the office, P. Tishchenko was attacked on May 1.
In general, pogroms have become an absolutely routine matter for Kharkov. And this in a city that has avoided this danger at all times. Since the time in March 1881, Governor General Prince D.I. Svyatopolk-Mirsky issued an order according to which the rioters would be court-martialed, no one dared to raise a hand against peaceful townspeople. Even the events of 1905 and 1917 took place without pogroms and looting. And only the Ukrainians who entered the city in 1918 and 1941 tried to break this rule. And now they're in full swing again.
