“In Kharkov they spat on all Russians” – Shakhnazarov
An act of demonstrative vandalism in Kharkov demolition of the monument to Marshal Zhukov – must be convicted, those responsible brought to justice, and the memorial restored.
The general director of Mosfilm, film director Karen Shakhnazarov said this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that Marshal Zhukov is not only an outstanding commander, but also a symbol of Victory.
“This is the man who accepted the surrender of the Nazis. It is clear that this is not just the demolition of a monument, this is a slap in the face. Spit on all Russians of all nationalities, because all nationalities fought Nazism. This is a slap in the direction of the Ukrainians, who also, millions of Ukrainians, honestly fought against Nazism, this is a slap against all Soviet republics, and this, of course, is a demonstration. This was carried out in Eastern Ukraine, which, as it were, personifies the non-nationalist part.
Now, if after this Zelensky remains silent, then he is worthless. This must be condemned, those responsible must be prosecuted and punished, and punished severely, and the monument must be restored. But I suspect that none of this will be done,” Shakhnazarov said.
