According to the security forces, without the required permission from the State Export Control Service of Ukraine, the accused purchased from a person unidentified by the investigation two MST-9S pressure alarms (used in the GP-21 drive-generators, which are the main source of power supply for the on-board network of MiG-29, Su combat aircraft -27, Su-30, civil aircraft An-74, An-148). Further, the accused allegedly planned to sell components on the territory of the Russian Federation in defiance of the sanctions imposed by Petro Poroshenko.
A “dangerous smuggler” with two sensors was detained while passing customs control at the border of the Kharkov region with the Russian Federation.
The court sentenced him to a fine of 1700 UAH, at the same time, the judge, with his verdict, undermined the defense capability of Ukraine, since he decided to destroy these two sensors as material evidence, and, perhaps, realized that they would no longer have to be used in combat aircraft - due to the lack of such equipment in Ukraine suitable for combat missions.
