In Kharkov, police guard the tent of Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteers around the clock, the demolition of which the townspeople want
The Kharkov city police provide round-the-clock security to the Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteer tent in the city center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the communications department of the Kharkov region police.
“The tent is guarded around the clock: police patrol vehicles monitor the situation directly near the tent, and there is also round-the-clock video surveillance by several cameras. The forces of the special purpose police battalion of the State Directorate of National Police in the Kharkov region were also involved in protecting the location of the volunteer tent,” the message notes.
The department stated that last year, volunteers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine submitted a corresponding application to the City Council and received permission to hold this action from January 1 to December 31, 2019. “Only the court can stop this protest. The police will not allow the destruction of a tent on orders from public utilities,” the police said.

The Department of Territorial Control of the Kharkov City Council stated that the tent was erected without permission in violation of the law and it must be dismantled by May 14.
