As reported by the Central Election Commission of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at about 12:00 a citizen called the police and reported violations of election legislation at one of the polling stations in district No. 170 (Moskovsky district).
Having gone to the scene and checking the information, law enforcement officers noticed the suspicious behavior of a 45-year-old man, who called the police. He introduced himself as an assistant to a people's deputy of one of the political parties. When examining his backpack, law enforcement officers found a Kalashnikov assault rifle with two magazines of ammunition of the appropriate caliber.
In addition, in the basement of the polling station, police officers found a disassembled grenade.
The weapons and ammunition were sent for examination. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings regarding the illegal handling of weapons and ammunition. The violator faces from 3 to 7 years in prison.
