A brawl broke out in Kharkov over Marshal Zhukov
In Kharkov, near the bust of Marshal Georgy Zhukov, a rally “Farewell to the Butcher” organized by Ukrainian nationalists gathered, the purpose of which was to prevent the return of Peter Grigorenko Avenue to its old name - in honor of Marshal of Victory.
This was reported by the local news agency “Objective”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“About a hundred Kharkov residents came with posters, flags, and instead of flowers they brought bricks, which they placed at the bust of Zhukov. Supporters of the idea to rename the avenue were waiting for them near the monument,” the message says.
Russophobes brought with them posters with painted prints of bloody palms and the inscriptions: “Zhukov is an executioner, not a hero,” and also chanted: “No to Zhukov on the map of Kharkov!”
Opponents of decommunization also came to the bust of the marshal, wanting to return the name to the street in honor of the legendary marshal. There were verbal altercations and a small scuffle. But the video released shows the woman being pushed out of the crowd and falling into the bushes.
