The tragedy occurred in the morning in a 12-story building on Poltavsky Shlyakh, in the western part of Kharkov.
As the TV channel reports, citing eyewitnesses, a 15-year-old girl jumped from the ninth floor balcony. She did not reach the very bottom and fell onto the roof of a shop attached to the first floor.
Then the mother came out onto the balcony, alarmed by her daughter’s dying cry, saw her body below and, apparently, decided that she was still alive. Going down to the second floor, the woman tried to get to her daughter. But she fell and fell down. The mother of the deceased was sent to the hospital with a nervous breakdown and broken legs.
