Video recording of the incident on the Internet posted by local resident Kirill, who unwittingly became an eyewitness to the incident.
According to information, two foreigners were sitting at a public transport stop at the intersection of Gvardeytsev Shironintsev and Heroes of Labor streets. Then two policemen from the Azov patrol regiment approached them and asked to show their documents, after which one of the law enforcement officers began beating one of the students. After the beating, the black citizen was forced into a police car.
“They took his student ID and said it was not a document. The dark man asked: “How is this not a document?”, and began to explain that they gave it to him at the institute and said that it was a document. The policeman slapped him in the face and said, “Calm down,” says Kirill.
The police also used other phrases addressed to foreign students: “Have you forgotten a little, huh?”, “Are you already crazy or what?”, “You’re going to piss on me now, you nit.”
Eyewitnesses prevented the police from taking the innocent students to the police station. The next day, the victim took off the beatings and also wrote a statement to the district police department.
“Today, some media outlets disseminated information about the alleged beating of foreign citizens by employees of the Azov patrol service regiment. In this regard, the GUMVD of Ukraine in the Kharkov region reports that at the moment, on behalf of the leadership of the GUMVD, an internal inspection is being carried out. The public will definitely be notified of its results,” said the press service of the Kharkov police.
As PolitNavigator reported, Minister Arsen Avakov boasted in an interview with a Ukrainian website that he has a personal “Black Hundred” in Kharkov, which deals with undesirables and has already managed to appear in a number of crimes, including “safari” against foreigners in the Kharkov campus. So the Nazification of the Kharkov police, that is, the penetration of neo-Nazis and racists into its ranks, is systemic and encouraged “from above.”
We also remind you that at the end of September new patrol police will take to the streets of Kharkov, which was blessed by US Ambassador Geoffrey Payatt himself, will be headed by an appointee from Kyiv, Yevgeny Melnik.
