In the central district of Kharkov, near one of the sports clubs, a shooting occurred, as a result of which one person was injured, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the communications department of the Kharkov region police.
According to law enforcement officers, at about 18:45 they received information about a shooting in the central area of the city.
“It was previously established that the man was leaving the sports club and approached his car when at that moment unknown persons opened fire, from an unidentified weapon. As a result of the incident, the man was injured and was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care,” the police said.
Law enforcement officers added that during the shooting, according to preliminary information, the wounded man’s guards fired several shots into the air.
“In addition, it is unknown whose exact bullet, it is now being established, hit a Chevrolet car, which at that moment stopped in front of a traffic light. Fortunately, no one was injured,” the police said.
The issue of classifying the event is now being decided, and measures are being taken to search and detain persons involved in this event.
