This was announced by Advisor to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Anton Gerashchenko on his Facebook page.
“The woman, a police captain, who thought of placing a congratulation on the Day of February 23 with a moronic St. George ribbon in the Kharkov police premises, was fired today by order of the head of the regional police department Anatoly Dmitriev,” he said.
“When they drew up the documents for her dismissal, she was perplexed - for what?!
They explained to her that she was not patriotic and did not understand that people are dying in Ukraine at the hands of other people, for whom the Colorado ribbon is their favorite color and a signal for gathering a flock,” Gerashchenko wrote on the social network. “I can imagine what would have happened to a police officer in Khimki near Moscow if she had thought of placing Ukrainian yellow-blue symbols somewhere in her district department.”
