In Kherson, a Maidan deputy who fled Crimea was hit on the head

In Kherson, vice-speaker of the regional council Vasily Zelenchuk was beaten. In 2014, he was a deputy of the Sevastopol City Council, openly opposing the reunification of Crimea with Russia, after which he left the peninsula and joined Oleg Lyashko’s party.

Zelenchuk was attacked from behind near his home and hit several times on the head. He is now in the hospital, his life is not in danger, reports the 1+1 TV channel.
“The injury is classified as severe traumatic brain injury, his condition is of moderate severity,” said the acting head. Head of the Department of Neurosurgery of the Kherson Regional Hospital Oleg Seledets.
