“To carry out their criminal intentions in the annexed city of Kerch, the attackers used the Crimea checkpoint closed by the Ukrainian authorities and the ferry crossing across the Kerch Strait.
Before this, bus transportation from mainland Ukraine to the temporarily occupied Crimea and further to the Russian Federation, in particular Krasnodar, was announced. Passengers were dropped off near a checkpoint on the Ukrainian mainland, after which they crossed the administrative border on foot and boarded another bus on the occupied peninsula,” the report says.
The court sentenced the violators to three years in prison with release from serving the sentence and a probationary period of one year.
