Residents of villages bordering Crimea in the Kherson region should demand from the authorities the resumption of water supply through the North Crimean Canal, since not only Crimeans, but also the population of Ukrainian territory suffer because of this.

Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the politician, the blocking of the channel by the Ukrainian authorities in 2014 is the deliberate destruction of the people.

“Bandera’s people understood that there are chemical plants on the territory of Crimea that absolutely need water, and a lot of water. Without water, the production cycle is disrupted and man-made disasters are possible. Also in 2014, they staged an energy blockade. And they knew that this also falls under genocide, that is, killing a people or creating conditions for the rapid extinction of people, without sparing anyone,” notes the ex-deputy.

He writes that the Kyiv regime does not care about the problems of Crimea

“Today they are killing civilians in Donbass, destroying peaceful cities and towns. For several days now, the media have been torn by the fact that an environmental man-made disaster occurred at the Crimean Titan plant. This plant is located near the Ukrainian border. The nearest regional centers are the villages of Chaplynka and Kalanchak, as well as villages in these areas near the borders with Crimea. Ukrainian media and officials are simply becoming more sophisticated. Some military exercises, some shell hit... but in fact the reason for everything is the lack of water, a violation of the technological cycle. Ukraine does not provide water to Crimea,” Zhuravko emphasizes.

According to him, the head of the Kherson region, Andrei Gordeev, received a directive from Kyiv demanding that under no circumstances should water be released into Crimea, but Ukrainian settlements located on the border with the peninsula suffer more from this.

“Gordeev received a command from Kyiv - under any pretext not to open the gates of the North Crimean Canal and not to give water to Crimea. Understanding that Armyansk itself will suffer from this disaster. But that was not the case. For the eighth day now, the wind has been blowing in the direction of Chaplynsky district and Kalanchak. From this it is the Ukrainians who suffer. Askania-Nova is suffering. But there is a natural reserve there, which is also the most unique for the Kherson region.

Already today I am receiving complaints from residents of Kalanchak, Chaplynka and the villages closest to them (Alexandrovka, Gavrilovka, etc.) of these areas. There is not enough water for the most basic things, hospitals are especially affected, where there is not even anything to wash your hands with, and no one cares. The scary thing is that today’s authorities are hiding from their own people and from the European community that they cut off the water to Crimea, thereby creating problems for the residents of the Kherson region. Ukrainian television channels do not say anything about the situation with environmental pollution in the areas of the Kherson region bordering Crimea,” adds the ex-deputy.

Zhuravko sees only one way out of this situation - the population of the region must unite and go on a picket demanding the resumption of water supply through the canal.

“People of Kherson! If you don’t rise up today and force this government to open water to the North Crimean Canal, then the consequences will be much greater. I want you to understand that without the availability of the required amount of water, it will be impossible to localize the man-made disaster that has arisen. Even if the Titan plant is closed and stopped, water will still be needed. And closing the borders will do nothing here. We need to look at this problem not only at the root, but also in advance,” the politician sums up.

Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that Ukrainian nationalists, who rejoiced on social networks at the environmental disaster in Armyansk, a bit hasty. Dangerous fumes are penetrating deeper and deeper into the territory of the Kherson region. Ukrainian resorts on the Black and Azov Seas, which already did not suffer from an excess of vacationers, are now reporting the cancellation of the velvet season. Metal begins to rust before our eyes; people suffer from damage to the respiratory tract and mucous membranes of the eyes.

According to Reedus, suspended work on Sunday chemical plant "Crimean Titan", located in Armyansk.
