The corresponding decision was made at a session of the city council, reports the local resource “Kherson Online”.
At the same time, the ban only applies to advertising on billboards - leaflets on poles can still be posted throughout the city.
“We are talking about advertising on billboards, and pillars are pillars,” said Vladimir Mykolayenko, the mayor of Kherson.
At the same time, City Council deputy Egor Ustinov tried to make adjustments to the resolution by excluding the clause on Donbass from it:
“There are no objections regarding Crimea - it doesn’t look very decent.” But regarding transportation to the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, the residents of Kherson have relatives, what’s wrong with them knowing how to get to their relatives?”
But the mayor was categorical and forbade Kherson residents from traveling to the uncontrolled territory of Donbass: “There is no point in going to the occupied territories – the “DPR”, “LPR”, this is my opinion.”
