This was reported by the press service of the NZ “Khersones Tauride”.

The discovery of the treasure is the result of a joint archaeological expedition of the Crimean branch of the Institute of Archeology, the Tauride Chersonesos nature reserve and the branch of Moscow State University in Sevastopol.

It is curious that the 97th quarter, where the find was found, was already explored in the 19th century. Then for many years no one carried out any excavations here. Only in 1990, archaeologists returned here and discovered several interesting objects from the ancient and medieval periods, including the city wine complex.
